I do not get paid until your app is making money. No upfront fee, no monthly minimum, no invoice while it earns nothing. We agree a share of what the app brings in, and that is the whole arrangement.

How it works

You keep the larger share. I take a percentage of what the app actually pays out to you, after Apple and Google take their cut and after refunds. If a month earns nothing, I invoice nothing.

WHAT YOU PAY

  • Nothing to start, and nothing during the build
  • Nothing in any month the app earns nothing
  • A share of what lands in your account, once it is earning

WHY IT IS SET UP THIS WAY

A flat monthly fee gets paid whether your app works or not. This one does not. If I build something your members do not open, I earn nothing, which is the right way round.

The exact share depends on what the app needs to do and how much of the content already exists. That is a short conversation, not a table.

What you pay, and what you don't pay me

INCLUDED

  • Built, submitted and maintained on the App Store and Google Play
  • Video hosting and delivery to your members
  • OS updates, store policy changes, SDK upgrades
  • Me, when something breaks

NOT PAID TO ME

  • Apple Developer Program, $99 a year, on your account
  • Google Play Developer, $25 once, on your account
  • Apple and Google keep 15 to 30% of each subscription
  • RevenueCat, free until $2,500 a month, then 1% of gross

These are what it costs anyone to sell a subscription app. I list them because finding out about a cost later is a rotten way to start.

When you start paying

Nothing until the app is live and earning. You open the developer accounts and send me your content, I build it and handle submission. The first invoice follows the first month it makes money, not the day it ships.

No deposit, no upfront fee, nothing during the build. Store review will not begin without your accounts and your content, so if those are not ready within 21 days we pause and restart when they are.
